On our recent curriculum day the staff engage in InitialLit training. InitiaLit is an evidence-based whole-class literacy program which will provide all children with the essential core knowledge and strong foundations to become successful readers and writers. InitiaLit is a three-year program, covering the first three years of school (typically Foundation to Year 2).
We have another upcoming curriculum day on Wednesday the 11th of December. On this day staff will be planning for 2025. This marks a time of excitement and adjustment for our students. The experiences during Orientation Day provide your child with an opportunity to meet their new teacher, meet their new classroom peers and have a first-hand experience of their new year level.
On Tuesday the 10th of December it is the Statewide Orientation Day.
