Year Three Team News

with Katja, Carmel, Rochelle & Mary

Hello Year Three families,

The students’ oral presentations on anendangered Australian animal have begun this week and will be happening over the next two weeks. Thank you for supporting your children with these. They are doing a fabulous job.

This week Suzette Rodoreda, the conservation ranger from Hobsons Bay Council, visited us to talk about endangered species in our area as part of our Term 4 Inquiry unit, ‘Endangered Species. What Can We Do?’ The students were thoroughly engaged with Suzette’s talk. We thank her immensely for being a guest speaker and teaching the students lots of interesting facts.

Zoo Snooze

We are getting very close to our Zoo Snooze in Week 9. Please return the medical forms to your class teacher and make payment and give consent via Compass if you have not already done so.

The students will attend school on the day as normal and will be dropped off outside the main entrance of the Melbourne Zoo, in the evening, where they will be greeted by their class teacher. They will spend the following day at the zoo and return to school by bus in time for normal school pick up.

*A note came home last week with all the details and what the students need to pack.

Willy Games

After an early lunch, we welcome back ‘Kaboom Kid Sports’ who, will help put on a multi-age Extravaganza with unique sports and activities that will include all students across the school. There will be activities such as the Giant Dart Board, the Wacky Wheel, Olympic Javelin, Jurassic Hoop, Parachute, Mini Golf and many others! Parents are welcome to come down and watch along from the outskirts of the oval from 1:30pm onwards.
