Boarding House Captain Meetings

Wondering what our Boarding House Captains are up to each week? Quite a lot, actually! Every week, Henry and Henrietta, our dedicated Boarding Captains, meet with us to plan upcoming events and initiatives that will keep the House vibrant, engaged, and united. Their enthusiasm is contagious as they work to foster positivity, strengthen relationships, and keep the House running smoothly. Some of this term’s fun activities include the cleanest room contest, Uno night, Christmas dress-up, Kris-Kringle, Hawaiian shirt night, and even House chasey.

During these weekly meetings, Henry and Henrietta also share updates from their Boarding House meetings, which happen every Wednesday evening. This week’s focus was on welcoming our new Year 7 boarders for 2025. The House meeting included some fun games like wink-murder, and our Captains prioritized spending quality time with younger boarders, getting to know their interests and ensuring everyone feels supported. These interactions not only help Henry and Henrietta build stronger connections but also give our younger boarders someone they can look up to and rely on.

Welcome to our 2025 Year 7 Boarders

We’re thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our new Year 7 boarders joining us in 2025! The Myrniong lawns provided a perfect setting for a welcome BBQ, where our newest boarders connected with their housemates and received guidance from our senior students. Their first night was a wonderful introduction to boarding life, enhanced by the inclusive and welcoming culture we strive to maintain.

The next morning started bright and early with a room inspection, followed by lunch prep, a hot breakfast, and a group walk to school—a busy yet rewarding first experience! We truly believe that a busy boarder is a happy boarder, and our new Year 7s are off to a fantastic start on their boarding journey.
