WANTED & UNWANTED VISITORS AT THE NCTTC

A welcomed visitor!

We recently had a visit from past staff member Laurie Pearse. Laurie was our Agriculture & Wood teacher at the NCTTC for many years. Laurie shared his extensive knowledge & experience with the VET Agriculture class when he came in to assist with a fencing unit. The students, many of whom Laurie had taught in previous years, were very excited to work with Laurie again & the staff were grateful for the opportunity to catch up. Thanks for your help, Laurie!

Unwanted visitor

Over the weekend, our farm had an unwanted visit from a fox & sadly, we lost a number of our feathered friends. I would like to say a massive thanks to Kelvin Baird, Noel Bennett & Shane Fitzpatrick for providing assistance & helping us ‘fox proof’ the area for the future!

While extending some thank yous, I would also like to recognise Dooley Thompson, who often helps out with farm related matters & Kelvin Baird, who checks our animals over the weekend. We are really grateful for your support!

VET & YEAR 9 TECHNOLOGY FINISHING DATES

VET Year 1 students: VET Year 1 students have their final day of VET classes on Thursday 21st November.

Year 9 Technology: The final day of Technology classes for our Year 9 students is Friday 6th December. Miss Nicholls will be communicating information about the Year 9 program for the following Friday’s.
