Dear Families,

Remembrance Day

On Monday, 11th November 2024, we marked Remembrance Day, a time to remember the men and women who made sacrifices to shape our country. We honoured the day with a minute of silence at 11:00 am, and our senior students shared reflections on the importance of remembering their service.

2025 Foundation

On Monday, we completed our fourth transition session for the 2025 Foundation class. It was wonderful to see the children enjoying their time at school; playing with each other, singing, and meeting some Year 5 students. They also listened to the delightful story Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne, where Handa, a young girl from Africa, carries a basket of fruit to surprise her friend, but along the way, the animals take her fruit one by one. The children enjoyed the colourful illustrations and had fun discussing the animals in the story. Afterward, they participated in a fun cut-and-paste activity based on the story.

The 2025 Foundation students will meet their Year 6 buddies on 12th December and receive a special Sacred Heart Bear, which will stay with them in the classroom next year.

Have a great weekend!

Antoniette
