Learning Reflection
Weeks 8 & 9, Term 4
What a wonderful day we all had at the annual Prep to Three Sports Day. Students showed courage as they participated in a range of different events.
What a wonderful experience we had going to the Melbourne Museum and learning about the how life was in the past and how it is different today. We attended the 'My Grandmother’s Toy box’ session which was led by a teacher from the Museum.
In Mathematics, we have been exploring Capacity using informal units. We have been measuring the capacity of different containers.
The Grade 1s have been doing an Author study on Pamela Allen. We have noticed lots of rhyming words in her books. We made a rhyming memory game and played with our friends!
The Grade 2s have also been doing an Author Study on Alison Lester and we also noticed lots of rhyming words in her books. We practiced using this craft in our writing and came up with lots of interesting sentences.
