When Cameron's English teacher, Ms Allen told the class about a nationwide creative writing competition, Insight Creative, which aims to ignite a passion for creative writing and inspire the voices of the future, he decided to enter and went straight to work on a creative piece about a cheeky cat. 

Cameron came up with the idea to write about a cheeky cat because he hoped it would be relatable to people who have cheeky/naughty pets in their lives.  

Well, it seems the judges related and loved the piece as Cameron is one of the finalists, coming in the top 5 for Year 7 in Australia.  

We will wait anxiously for the final result, which will be announced on Wednesday 11th December, with the winner receiving $200 for their creativity.
