Congratulations Saxon
Saxon N. participated in the local trials (one of 18) in July this year that West Ham holds around the country as part of their Talent-Identify programs. After this, along with about 300 others, he was invited to take part in the 13th West Ham United National Camp held on the Gold Coast in September. The Camp was for both boys and girls from around the country ranging from U10s through to U15s.
This was a 4-day program with intensive training in the mornings and afternoons, with pool recovery in between, and theory sessions on sports psychology, diets and training regimes in the evenings, as well as a chance to meet and speak with Scott McDonald, a former Socceroo.
From this camp, there would be 12-15 talents that would be invited to take part in the UK development tour for 2025 (9th – 21st April), where they will visit London, Manchester and Edinburgh, with most of the time being spent at West Ham United for training and having the opportunity to attend a few English Premier League (EPL) games in the London Stadium and potentially Scotland. They will also take part in friendly matches against other Academies, as well as attend training sessions held by various EPL clubs, and have exposure to top scouts around the world for various leagues and organisations.
Saxon was super excited to have received the formal invite to be part of this amazing experience as he knew the talent pool from the National Camp was super competitive.
He has worked incredibly hard this year and respectfully earned this opportunity with his relentless commitment to his development, training 7 days a week, with 3 days at Beaumaris SC, and the remaining days kicking on his own before match day (Sunday).
As a result, his hard yards have paid off with the invite to the UK from one of the most prestigious EPL clubs, West Ham United. At the same time, one of the most well-known clubs, Malvern SC has invited him to train with them as part of their National Premier League squad for the 2025 season with their eyes firmly placed on the Division 1 title.
Therefore, the 2025 season will be full of excitement for his personal as well as football/soccer development.
Well done Saxon.
