The Glow Disco

Our kids had a really great time on Tuesday night at the Glow Disco and it was great to see so many of them enjoying themselves.  They went all out, dressing up, hair gelled and glow sticks galore.  As soon as the lights went down and music started, the Bampi was pumping.

I would like to thank Jaime Young, one of our Prep parents, for the amazing job she did organising the disco. We had to make several changes along the way due to the recent lockdown/restrictions but, she always stayed positive and worked around any changes.  The night went off with out a hitch and that can only happen when everything's been thought of and arranged before hand.

I would also like to thank the staff who helped on the night with supervision and the handing out of food.  Their commitment to the school is evident in their willingness to take on extra to provide activities and events that enhance the students wellbeing and engagement with the school.

Out of Hours School Care Program

We are currently running a tender process for a new OHSC provider and are pleased to say that we feel very confident that we will be able to secure a great service from this process.  The successful provider will work hard with the the school to push through the paperwork and transfers of license's as quickly as possible. An extraordinary meeting in the holidays with School Council will push through the endorsement of the program and I will work with the provider over the holidays with the aim of starting 12th July.  If it looks like it may be delayed due to red tape, I will inform you as soon as possible.

Parent/Teacher Interviews next week

Next week we are conducting parent/teacher interviews and you can book your time, if you haven't already, via Compass.  The interviews are designed to give you and your child's teacher a chance to discuss strengths, achievements or address any specific questions you have about Semester one.

Below is a guide to allow you to plan for the interview and think about any questions or areas you want to discuss.  If 10 minutes ends up being not long enough, your teacher will note down the areas that need more time and arrange another time for you to discuss in the new term.

Essentially we want to discuss the strengths your child has, any questions you have regarding semester one or the report and then focus the last part of the interview on discussing what's next for your child's learning.
