Junior School Report

Back in week 2 Term 3 we received notification via media reports that there was a possibility of a lockdown beginning the following day. Based on this, our Junior school leadership team advised students of this possibility and to take home any resources needed for remote learning. We are so proud of how our Junior school students quickly ‘pivoted’ into their remote learning classes. This demonstrates how resilient and adaptable our students are. It also proves our students have developed many skills and strengths during the previous 18 months in regards to adaptability and using technology in new ways to support their learning.

Due to this recent lockdown, the Year 7 camp and the Year 9 City experience had to be postponed. We are so excited that a new Year 7 camp has been secured for Term 4 and alternative dates for the Year 9 City experience are being explored.

Term 3 is an important term for consolidating learnings for this year’s studies. We encourage our junior school students to remain focussed in class and capitalize on their face to face lessons.

Upon return from this recent remote learning we are most impressed with the orderly learning and positive relationships and attitudes both in and out of classes.

We encourage all, to keep up the great work ethic and attitude.
