Music News

We are delighted that 40 Year 7 students have selected an orchestral instrument to learn this year.  Lessons are well underway and it was wonderful to see the girls attending the first Training Orchestra rehearsal with a variety of instruments and a great level of excitement.  An additional 20 Year 7 girls have enrolled for singing and guitar lessons.

Please remember that it is an expectation that girls learning an orchestral instrument attend Training Orchestra at 7.30am every Friday morning in the Band Room.

Open Instrumental Music Lessons

This year, the Music Department would like to invite parents/carers to an ‘Open Music' lesson with the opportunity to meet the Music Tutor and watch one lesson in Term 2 and/or Term 3.

This opportunity is only available in the last two weeks of Term 2 (from 19 June) and the last two weeks of Term 3 (from 10 September).

Please co-ordinate with your daughter’s Music Tutor and give at least one week’s notice if you wish to attend.  All parents/carers must sign in at the front office.

Please direct any queries to Jemma Law, Jemma.Law@kilbreda.vic.edu.au
