Clean up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day

Since 1992, schools across Australia have got stuck in and made a real difference to their environment and local communities through participating in Schools Clean Up Day. Last year alone, over 2000 schools participated in our Clean Up Australia Day events, making an immense contribution to the 14,139 tonnes of rubbish removed in 2017.

Schools Clean Up Day is a fun and engaging way to teach young Australians about the responsible disposal of rubbish, resource recovery and the repercussions of rubbish dumped irresponsibly in the local environment.

This year Armstrong Creek School has decided to join in to link with our sustainable schools program. The children will be taking part in some activities on Friday 2nd of March as part of Clean Up Australia Day and we have also nominated an area in the estate that we will be taking the children to show them how the waste effects our local environment.
