The Loop - Scholastic Book Club
The best gift any parent can give a child is the love of books and the joy and benefits of independent reading for fun. Children who read at home, or are read to, have a head start on reading success in school.
Our School is participating in Scholastic Book Club this year. Up to twice a term, during the school year, we will send home a Club catalogue with a different selection of books offered for all ages.
You’ll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites. We recommend them because the books span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests and because they are inexpensive (some books cost as little as $2).
Armstrong Creek PS is a cashless Book Club school, however it is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school safe and sound and the books will be delivered to class.
Issue #2 will be coming home today with exciting new offerings for all ages and reading interests.
This issue will close on: Friday 9 March, 2018.
Owning your own books is something special! We hope that you will encourage your child to order books this year. Each order helps earn free books and teaching materials for our classroom, however there is never any obligation to order. We know of no better way to encourage reading than to allow children to choose the books they want to read.

Simply grab your child's Book Club catalogue and either sign in or register your account
Click on ORDER and then select your school and your child's class*
Add your child's first name & last initial (so the school knows who the book is for) PLEASE NOTE: Your child's details will never be shared with 3rd parties OR used for marketing purposes - this is for distribution purposes only.
Enter the item number from the Book Club catalogue
All orders are sent directly to the school for submission to Scholastic. Books will still be delivered to your child's classroom if you order by the close date
Afterwards, there's no need to return paper order forms or payment receipt details back to your school!

Lost Property
All lost property items have been placed in a tub which will be stationed outside the Library door in the Central Plaza. Students and families can check this tub for any lost items. It is also important to please remember to CLEARLY LABEL all of your child's clothing so that misplaced items can be easily returned to their rightful owner. Any uncollected, unnamed school uniform items remaining at the end of each term will be donated to the 2nd hand Uniform supplies and non-school items donated to a local charity shop.
Coles Sports for Schools
Thank you to those families who have already brought in their vouchers after shopping at Coles. Already we have counted over 600 vouchers! Our aim to reach 10,000 vouchers which will enable us to redeem them for some awesome sports equipment. A box has been placed in the office for the vouchers and a box has also been put in the Coles Supermarket at Waurn Ponds. This promotion continues until 11 May, 2018 - so keep those vouchers coming in! We will have tally updates in the coming newsletters ...
