Student Wellbeing and Engagement

Information

A huge 'call out' to all families who have done such an amazing job engaging in offsite learning. Just a reminder that you can message me at any time through an email to school or in a message through teams or Sentral if you need any assistance in any way. I have included some resources in the newsletter that you can access if your family requires any extra support.

Stay warm and safe everyone.

Kids Help Line

Are you worried about novel coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Kids Helpline is open 24/7 to answer your call, email or WebChat

Anxiety is a normal response to a threat like a disease. While worry is generally a negative feeling, it does actually serve a purpose. It’s one of the ways our brain tries to help us be more alert, create a plan and respond quickly to a threat.

While Kids Helpline counsellors can't provide health or medical advice, they can provide emotional support anytime and for any reason. In a time of high uncertainty, a little bit of support can make a big difference!

My Hero is You

“My Hero is You”, a story developed for and by children around the world, offers a way for children and parents to together think about the questions the pandemic raises. Designed to be read by a parent, caregiver or teacher alongside a child or a small group of children, the story was shaped by more than 1,700 children, parents, caregivers and teachers from around the world who took the time to share how they are coping with the impact of COVID-19.

The project was developed by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee Reference Group on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings, and supported by global, regional and country based experts, in addition to parents, caregivers, teachers and children in 104 countries.
