Our VCAL students are making the most their opportunities to work on the garden. Progress has continued, with the laying of weed mat in preparation for the delivery and installation of ornamental chip bark. Over to Bunnings next week for a workshop on what to plant and when. Keep an eye on facebook for our progress.
The Country Education Partnership (CEP) initiated the Rural Youth Ambassadors program as a key strategy in developing the leadership skills of rural and remote young people, as well as providing a formal state-wide voice for young people from across rural and remote Victoria with a focus on education provision.
Congratulations to Teagan Mitchell and Ellie Jones, who participated in the Lion's Youth of the Year. This competition requires students to demonstrate a range of skills including effective engagement in an interview, a prepared speech and two impromptu responses.
Teagan spoke with passion about organ donation, whilst Ellie shared her views about inequality in country education.
Both girls were wonderful ambassador's of our College.
