Intermediate Boys Football

The Intermediate Boys Football Team travelled to Ballarat High School to play a round robin against Ballarat High School and Phoenix College.

Ballarat High School was first, and unfortunately it wasn’t the result we were looking for, going down 24.6 to 2.0. The boys battled it out hard right to the end with a number of good passages of play, however, we were up against a great outfit. There were some positive signs that we were able to take into the next game against Phoenix.

What a great performance by our boys in a much closer contest, only going down 13.4 to 5.7 against Phoenix College. We focused on moving the ball quicker and with more numbers around the ball a real intent to follow the game plan was shown. The boys played well together going into half time, only 3 goals down. The ball movement, pressure and the enjoyment were very noticeable, and it was just a great game to watch.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the win, but the boys held their heads high and represented the school very well, demonstrating strongly our values of Respectful Relationships, High Expectations and Excellence. Overall a great performance by the boys, they all gave 100% effort.

Thanks to Miss. Vernon for organising the day, and to Alex and Blake for helping out.

Mr. Hooper.

Senior Girls' Football

The Senior girls Football Team travelled to Ballarat High School to play a round robin against Ballarat High School and Daylesford Secondary College.

It was great to see our school field a side that was a mix of experienced and inexperienced players.

The girls were exposed to some very skilled players from the opposition.  Even though we didn't come away with a win, all girls enjoyed the experience and "gave it a red hot go" according to Mr.  Hooper!

We would like to thank all girls involved, Miss Vernon for organising and Mr. Hooper for being the Assistant Coach.
