Florence Lindhaus

Florence was interviewed by Lily Coxhead and Jean-Noel Fidel, the vice school captains.

Florence is a parent at Menzies Creek Primary School, to two daughters, Julia and Anna Lindhaus. She also, conveniently, lives right next door to the school in the beige sandstone house. Florence’s hobbies include walking the dogs, learning new languages and reading the newspaper. Her role on the School Council is helping with community relations, she deals with grants, works on planning the car park and the school website. The thing that made her want to join was to find out how decisions are made.

When we asked her if she enjoys school council, her answer was simple.

“Yes, it’s rewarding to contribute to the school.”

At the moment, Florence and the school council are trying to get grants for a netted fruit tree orchard and preparing for a school review.

Improving the outcome of every student is one of the most important things to Florence on School Council.
