Child Safety

I am asking for your co operation in ensuring our children are safe walking to and from school.  Please do not allow students to cross the road from behind cars.  The cars driving on the road may not see them.  Please ensure that the children use the school crossing as this is the safest option for crossing the road.

Belows image and the attachment, Safe parking around school has been provided to us by the Wyndham City Council.  

Staff Car Park

The staff car park is out of bounds at all times.  This is not a drop off/pickup zone as it is too dangerous.  Parent and students are not allowed to walk through the staff car part at any time.

Student Interviews 27th June

On June 27th we are holding student   led conferences.  From June 10th on compass you will be able to book an interview time.  Student will be explaining their learning during the conferences so student are required to attend the interview.

Interviews will start at 1:30pm. Students will be dismissed at 1:00pm on this day. 

Pyjama Day

Next Friday the 7th of June is our Pyjama day.  Children can wear PJ's to school for the day.  We are asking for a gold coin donation with money raised going towards our Kitchen Garden.

Spelling

Our intensive spelling program at school is is well underway and we will now begin to send home spelling homework for the students.

A Spelling Homework sheet will be sent home with the Homework Grid on Monday via COMPASS.

Each week, students be given their spelling words and the spelling pattern or sound they are investigating in class. The students are then able to complete their Spelling Homework Grid.

Afternoon Tea - Wednesdays

Ever Wednesday 2.30 pm to 3pm we are inviting all parents to afternoon tea to enhance community spirit at our School.  These will be help in our Preforming Arts Room.  Please feel free to come along.

Child Psychologist Session

We are lucky to have Caroline Dreaver, a very experience Child Psychologist present a session on how to help your child with their learning.  All Parent/Guardians and Grandparents are most welcome.

Canteen

Sadly as of next week our canteen will only be open for lunch and sales on a Friday.  The canteen has struggles for sales on a Monday and Tuesday, the decision has been make to close until numbers at the school are able to sustain the canteen opening each day

Panda Badges

Our children are busy working towards earning Panda Badges.  The 3 different badges are:

• Being Safe
• Being Respectful
• Striving for Excellence

New Community Noticeboard

For all the latest news and events there is a Community Noticeboard located on the wall near the Wirrigirri (Library) Entrance.  If any parents would like to put a notice on the board, please provide a copy to our Administration staff and we will put it up.
