A Warm Welcome to our New Students

On the second day of Term 3 there was great excitement at Evans as the EALLS (EAL/D and Learning and Support) Faculty ​hosted a Welcome Program for seven students from the Intensive English Centre (IEC). Ms Taufique, the coordinator of the program,  extended the invitation to the parents of the new students and was delightful to welcome five parents to the session.

​This program, which aims to facilitate a smooth transition  for the new students, included an introduction to the key personnel in the high school​​, and provision of information about the behavioural expectations and procedures for assessments at Evans. The program concluded with a tour of the High School followed by a morning tea.​

A  huge thanks to our Evans High School buddies: Faisal Mohammadi, Parasato Mohammadi, Naznin Muhseni, Alex Langbong , D'Jasma  Abdulai, Farzana Nzazari and Kudrat Abbasi, who assisted the new students with their timetables and welfare needs during their first few weeks at the High School.

Merit Assembly

On Friday the 25th of July, the Senior Merit assembly was held in period 3 and the Junior Merit assembly was held in period 4. Congratulations to all the students who received their awards.

 A huge thankyou to the fantastic school Captains Jackson Kyle, Lilla Sale and Vice Captains Brayden Findley and Roma Prasad, who hosted the assembly, and the amazing staff involved in presenting the awards to the students.

A massive thank you also to the wonderful CAPA department for giving us such awesome performances as well as ensuring all lighting and other stage work was spot on throughout the presentation.

Finally, thank you to all the students who attended and hope you enjoyed the presentation and are as proud of the achievements of your peers as we are.
