Blacktown Zone Soccer Gala Day

Evans High School had 15 students compete at the Blacktown Zone Soccer Gala Day at Prospect in Week 3. They played exceptionally well as a team, scoring a brilliant team goal. There were some outstanding individual efforts to score a few individual goals throughout the day. Unfortunately the team missed out on making the Grand Final and finished the day in 4th place.

Special mentions to Jeremy T and Wallace T for being selected into the Blacktown Boys Zone Soccer Team. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Jaimee Ross and Paige Norris - Year 11 Students

Throughout term two, we have spent each Friday sport session with the Year 7-10 dancers as part of our Sports Coaching class, putting together a piece to be performed at MADDFEST. We have taken on a bigger leadership role and being in the shoes of a dance teacher after Ms Baldwin moved on to her new school. We have also worked hard to create a culture of teamwork to make this happen and we are very proud of the work they have put together. In Term 3, the group are currently working on technique and dance during their two hours of sport every Friday. As year 11 students, this gives us an opportunity to have experience in choreography and performance development, as we are going into Year 12 HSC-Dance, where have to choreograph and teach our own dances to younger students and perform this for the HSC markers.
