1 Corinthians 12:27

Dear Parents/Carers

Fr Eric Hodgens

Please keep in your prayers Fr Eric Hodgens who passed away recently. Many of our older families will remember Fr Eric who was Parish Priest here for 14 years. I am sure that details about Fr Eric's funeral will be communicated in the St Bede's Parish Bulletin over the weekend.

St Bede's Feast Day

As Brian mentioned, yesterday we celebrated St Bede's Day.  There was time for prayer and reflection, creativity and sporting fun!

Some of the Preps and Year Ones wrote about the day. Below are some of their reflections.

Yesterday we went to the St Bede's Church. I saw Fr John, we prayed and sang. We went with the whole class. Kingsley

I went to the Church. I sat with Sadie and I prayed. Charlie

Yesterday the whole school had a celebration. It was a very fun day. It was St Bede's feast day. I was so happy we did kaboom sports together. I liked the parachute because there were funny ducks. Alex

Yesterday was St Bede's Feast Day. We had sausages. We did a lot of activities and we did Kaboom Sports. Johnny

Yesterday on St Bede's Feast Day, we went to Church first thing in the morning then we continued about St Bede. After that we decorated tiles in art. For lunch we ate sausages, it was so yum! Last we did Kaboom sport. Everyone loved it. Anna

One of the sessions yesterday focused on our Vision Statement. Each student in the school created an image on a tile of what it looks like to be a part of St Bede's Catholic Primary School. These tiles will be displayed outside above the drinking taps. Below is an image of the pictures 2S created.

Faith Night

The Faith Night for the first Eucharist candidates and their parents is next Tuesday night, the  31st May at 7pm at St Bede's parish Church.

Have a good week
