From the Principal

Dear families,
Term 2 is underway with the recommencement of SAPSASA sport (Girls and boys knock-out netball in week 5 and knockout soccer in weeks 7 and 8) as well as after school Basketball at St.Clair. Our debating team have also started participating in school debates, starting with Grange Primary School in Week 3 (this Thursday).
The Childrens Centre have been welcoming new families enrolling children at Woodville Gardens. There are still some vacancies in the Preschool. Please let family and friends know if they are looking to enrol a Preschool child.
Some site works occurred over the Term 1 holiday break including new playground equipment and planting. It has been lovely to see a bit of a 'refresh' in the grounds. In 2021 the 6/7 students began painting decorative poles as part of the kitchen garden program. Delays from Covid meant that they weren’t able to be finished, so this year the year 5/6 students completed them. They were recently placed into the ground, in the garden and orchard areas, and look great!
Unfortunately Covid cases are still having an impact. We thank you for keeping unwell children at home and getting PCR tests when they are close contacts. Covid cases are resulting in multiple staff absences each day currently and it is becoming increasingly difficult to source back up staff to cover. It is important to us to It is helpful for you to use the Front Office to pass on relevant information about your child rather than SeeSaw. Thank you for your understanding.
Week 2 saw the return of NAPLaN assessments for Literacy and Numeracy. If you would like more information about this years assessments please visit the website here NAP - NAPLAN
