Optus Digital Thumbprint

Between the dates of June the 16th and 19th, Dom from Optus Digital Thumbprint came out to our school to speak to our Year 9 and 10 cohorts about online safety. The students were extremely engaged with the content as Dom continued to build on what he had taught them in previous years. The main focus for our Year 9 students was Digital Discernment whilst the Year 10 students looked into Digital Identity.

Digital Discernment:

Social media has the power to influence society, and our friends for the better. Work through scenarios and practice discernment to see through online media and problem solve for a safe and healthy online solution.

Digital Identity:

Give students the opportunity to examine their social media profiles and posts through the lens a boss applies in the process of hiring and during employment. Understand the importance of creating a digital brand and enhancing it proactively using social media to raise awareness on issues or opportunities.
