Hello everyone,
Having just returned from a few weeks holiday, it is so wonderful to be back with the students and see how their book choices and reading abilities have progressed. They are keen and excited about borrowing books and enjoy their reading time in the library.
With the end of year holidays steadily approaching, I want to remind you all to keep encouraging your children to read always. Whether it is over the weekend or the school holidays, make sure they have access to reading material they want to read. Public libraries, Big W, online stores and even Op Shops are all great places to encourage their love of reading and open their eyes to different genres.
This Friday, the 11th November, is the last day to borrow books from the library, as we need to collect all the books on loan and prepare for a stocktake. All books need to be returned to the library by Friday 25th November, so please have a good look for any overdue books your children may have. If you have any queries, please contact me by email via Compass, or come in and see me in the library, Monday to Thursday.
Virgil has grown so much over the time I was away. He is now 7 and 1/2 months old! He continues to have regular training sessions. He loves coming into the library with me and happily rests on his bed when the students are in the library.
Happy reading
