Principal's Message

Dear parents, students

I would like to thank our community for all of the contributions of both goods and time in contributing to our Market Day on Sunday. It was a great opportunity to raise some funds for school improvements which has been dedicated to the artificial turf near the main entrance. We believe we have raised approximately $8,500 which is the most in my time at the school. The day also provided our families a chance to build connectedness as a community and a chance to promote ourselves to the wider community.  We had students, parents and grandparents working and I was also very pleased to have past students and past families supporting and volunteering on the day. Congratulations and thanks to you all. In other fundraising news I would like to thank those again who organised, supported in some way and/or attended the Trivia Night earlier this term. The final figure raised was just over $2140.

On Tuesday our Foundation 2023 students had their second experience of school. They all seemed to enjoy it and are starting to look very comfortable in their school. Our third Orientation Day is next Thursday 24th November.

In community news we would like to congratulate Miss Jemima Holmes and her partner Tom on the birth of their daughter Piper Ellene Cullinane. She was born on Monday at 11.00am. She weighs 3.24kg and is 51cm. All good blessings to you and your family Jemima!

Friday next week our instrumental students will have chances to perform at the Kids on Key Concerts. The times of these concerts are 12.10 - 12.50pm  and 12.50 - 1.40 pm, Parents are welcome to attend, particularly if you have a child performing.

Our Foundation to Year 2 students who are not performing will be the audience for the first concert and Years 3-6 who are not performing will be the audience for the second concert.

God bless

Rod Shaw

Principal
