Fete and Walkathon

Miners Rest K-6 Fete and Walkathon 2022 is ON!

On Friday November 25th we will be holding our Walkathon to be followed in the afternoon by a Mini Fete.  The Walkathon will begin at 9.30 am.

The Junior School Council have declared this year’s theme: ‘When I Grow Up’. Students can therefore dress up in clothing from any occupation- doctor, plumber, builder, hairdresser, mad scientist etc. The route will be similar to last year winding through and around the school grounds.

A sponsorship form will be sent home with students on Wednesday 16th November and we ask that this be returned to school along with any monies collected before the 25th November. Parents and community members are warmly invited to attend and support their children in both events. We would like to promote these events as a great family day with time that parents can spend at school with their kids.

The PFA will be providing a sausage sizzle for lunch and order forms will be sent home with students shortly. Parents will be able to purchase a sausage and coffee on the day.

The Fete will begin at 1.15 pm and conclude at 2.45pm.

This year we are not inviting the general public to hold a stall, but if any members of the Miners Rest Community would like to participate and potentially generate some free advertising and sales, please contact the school office.

Each classroom will be conducting a stall/s during the fete. There is a combination of items for purchase and more activity based entertainment.

Classrooms are running stalls and some would really appreciate donations of particular items. Teachers will be sending home requests for items they need via See Saw and Showbie over the coming week or so. Thank you in advance if you are able to support. Please drop any donations to the relevant or the school office.
