Celebrating Our Success

This week Loreto College Marryatville was named on The Educator’s 5-Star Innovative Schools 2022 list as one of Australia’s most forward-thinking schools. In total, 46 schools across Australia from all education sectors (Catholic, Independent, Government) were recognised for innovation after being judged by an independent panel. In particular, Loreto was recognised for innovation in environmental strategy as well as building development. This award acknowledges the hard work of College staff in meeting the two Strategic Objectives of being a ‘future looking school’ and a ‘school of choice and excellence’.

Orientation

This week we commenced our orientation program for new students. This included a sleep over on Sunday night for Boarding students, followed on Monday by a day full of adventure and fun activities for all new students in Years 7 to 12, and the first of our transition visits for Reception girls. Information evenings for new parents have also been held. New students in Years 1 to 6 will visit the College in a few weeks’ time for their ‘Moving Up Day’. On this day new girls will not only meet the girls in their class but also their class teacher. We are excited that over 120 new students will be joining the College in 2023, this is in addition to the many families that are part of our Early Learning Centre.

It truly is a lovely time to be part of our Loreto community and there is much to celebrate.
