Seussical the Musical

Well done to all our students who auditioned for HAC - Horsham Arts Council’s Seussical The Musical. Congratulations to Isaac, Bethany, Nate and Ella for scoring roles!

We’re looking forward to seeing you all on stage in May 2023!

Remembrance Day

The Remembrance Day Service was the first official duty for our 2023 School Captains, Larissa and Rory.

The girls had the honour of reading ’The Answer’ - We Shall Keep The Faith.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.”

Young Vinnies Sleepout

Our Young Vinnies students participated in a sleepout to promote awareness for homelessness in our community.

Year 10 student, Scarlett recounted the evening for us:

"The evening would not have been able to run as successfully without the support of the members of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference and in particular, Pat Strachan and Leon Ryan. The conference supplied delicious roast pumpkin soup and sandwiches made by Pat.

Pat and Leon then spoke to the group about Homelessness and the role St. Vincent de Paul plays in supporting those in need both here in the Wimmera and more broadly, those in Victoria. They spoke of practical assistance provided by the organisation.

The Young Vinnies group would also like to thank the Wimmera Meat Market for their kind donation of bacon and eggs for breakfast and finally, thank Ellie Rook for running a Zumba class for the participants in the sleepout.

Everyone had great fun and felt like they had completed some exercise prior to settling down to view a movie."

Thanks also to our staff members who participated and supervised the event. It is a valuable experience and opportunity for our students.
