**PLEASE RE-BOOK FOR WEEK 2 OF HOLIDAYS

Good afternoon, dear families!

We hope you're well!

In this newsletter we will cover last and current weeks, as it's the last week of term.

Last week in GOSH was dedicated to magic and science. Children made a lot of experiments and interesting things:

On Monday they made magic wands with a variety of different craft supplies. This included paper, icy- pole sticks, tape, glue, glitter and craft paper. Jai helped Anthony with his wand, which was great to see.

Tuesday brought us oil and water experiment, during which children explored different colours, sizes and patterns.

On Wednesday we had a great time, playing outside basketball and some imaginary games. We made outstanding salt paintings as well as played magnetic dart.

Thursday brought us hide-and-seek game all around the ground floor in school. Jai was helping to organise this game and was ensuring that others followed the rules. At the start of the session children participated in the firework in a jar activity, which was great to teach kids concepts about cause and effect, colour mixing, polarity and density.

Friday was the quiet day: Sebastian with Anthony were practicing acrobatic ninja skills on the mats and were playing footy.

We keep on going with news from the last week of term:

Theme of the week is "Awesome mix". We decided to dedicate each day to the activities children like the most.

On Monday kids worked together to make miniature drums which they found extremely challenging but fun at the end. Jai, Anthony and Will enjoyed playing various games outside together including helicopter. We also had some chasing games as a group and played hide and seek.

All guys were very enthusiastic on Tuesday to create different designs for insects. They have decorated dragon flies, butterflies, snails, bugs and spiders. Jacob and Roger were playing basketball, while other children played chase and tag game. Ella and Will were making bracelets and necklaces for their siblings.

On Wednesday, all children made craft activity. Today we were decorating wooden keys. Anthony, Will and Jai made 4 keys each, while the rest of children just 1 or 2.

Later, as to our tradition, we played all together hide-and- seek using the whole school’s ground floor. It was challenging, especially for preps to look for others in many different locations.

Day ended with footy and dart outside.
