Well-being at GGLPS

It is essential that all students in the school feel safe and know that they belong to a supportive and caring environment. Well-being in a broad sense to us incorporates behaviour management, programs to support students socially and emotionally, and the development of strategies to act responsibly and aid learning. You are encouraged to discuss these ideas and strategies with your children to reinforce what is happening at school.

It’s World Kindness Day This Friday

I’m sure you have seen a video on random acts of kindness before, but if you haven’t, check out the video below. Kindness spreads, so what can you do to make someone happy and help inspire kindness?

World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world. The purpose of this day celebrated on November 13 of each year, is to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together.’

The beauty of kindness is that it doesn’t need to be big, doesn’t need to cost money or lots of your time. A smile (read my devotion), a small note, a check-in with family or friends, a quick chat are all easy ways to show kindness.

What can you do to show kindness not just today or this Friday but every single day? Keep a journal or make a calendar. I believe that kindness is easy to spread, easy to do and it also feels good.

Every blessing as you make someone’s day!
