Year 12 tree planting

A huge thank you to Bunnings for their very generous donation of a plant and voucher to our Year 12 students to recognise the struggles of 2021 and to congratulate them on showing resilience and strength throughout the year.

Year 12 students, teaching staff and Kevin our Maintenance Supervisor took the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine and plant the tree near the new deck area at the Malgobila Hub.

VCAL Market

During Wednesday lunchtime the VCAL students held their 2021 Market Day. This was originally going to be a Twilight Market open to the public, however COVID prevented that happening. Due to lockdowns the students were faced with many obstacles to complete their handmade products for their stalls. Items included hand-made soaps, candles, bath bombs, wellness hampers, photo frames, wooden shelving and some delicious cakes and biscuits. With much resilience, patience and limited time the results were amazing! The day was a huge success with most of the products being sold.

All money raised will be donated to the Bairnsdale Neighbourhood House. Well done VCAL students!!
