A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Term 4. I hope all our families had a wonderful holiday. The students were very excited to be back to see their friends and commence our skipping program.

We return to school under Level 3 restrictions, which means non essential visitors (which includes parents) are still not able to be on school grounds. Please read the attached update from Chris Smyth, the Diocesan Director of Catholic Schools.

Last night I received a further update due to the Stay at Home Orders for the Gunnedah LGA:

  • Any staff or students that have been at a venue of concern at the time identified by NSW Health will be required to follow directions by NSW Health including getting tested and providing a negative test before returning to school.
  • Any staff or students that have visited the Gunnedah region since 27 September are able to attend work or school. We ask that if these staff or students experience any COVID symptoms that they get tested immediately.

I am very happy to confirm our Kindy Readiness Program will commence as planned this Friday 8th October. Students must be well and free of any flu-like symptoms to attend. They attend for half days for the first two weeks then the remaining days will be normal school days. Students will be met at the front gate at 9.00am by their teacher Miss Pilgrim and Mrs Rheinberger and collected at 12.30pm at the front gate also.

The PT & F meeting scheduled for this week will now be held next Wednesday 13th October at 6.00pm via zoom.
