Spring Market

Report

After months of planning, another great Spring Market was held at our College on Saturday 5 September. The weather was challenging but our Stall holders were pumped for the day!

We had 32 different Stalls inside the Gym selling handmade cards, gifts, jewellery, bows & clips, toys, candles, cakes, chocolates, fruit & air plants. There were 10 more Stalls outside, a Coffee Van and a clothing Tram. It was great to have Shane and team from the Scoresby CFA and their fire truck on site. You may have heard the siren! Thanks to Meaghan and team from One Hope Community Church, who ran the outside Café and to Food Tech students who made muffins.  ‘The Amazing James’ entertained us with his magic tricks and all ages enjoyed the Jumping Castle, Face Painting and Popcorn. Chaplain Andy and VCAL students ran the BBQ. Year 11 VCAL students made and donated beautiful wooden boards, all of which were sold! There were lots of 2nd hand books and a Raffle.

The atmosphere was enhanced by the professional performances of many of our Music students. This was especially appreciated as their Production was the previous night.

Many thanks to all who helped, donated, contributed or came and enjoyed the day. The Chaplaincy committee was very pleased to raise $3450 towards Andy’s work here at Scoresby.
