Preparing for End of Year examinations – Year 12

Senior School News

As the end of year examinations rapidly approach, Year 12 students are reminded of the resources available to them for revision. As outlined during the Elevate Education  “Ace your exams” study skills session last week, students can access past exam papers and examiner’s reports for each subject on the VCAA website. Revision classes will be run by our College on Wednesday 23 - Thursday 24 and Tuesday 29 September. Please see link below for Revision timetable.  The best resource for students is their classroom teacher and I encourage all Year 12 students to take every opportunity to seek extra assistance whenever possible.  The English faculty will be holding a practice exam on Friday 18 September (9.30 am – 12.30 pm) in room 106/107. Reading time begins at 9.15 am. Normal period 4 classes will be held in the afternoon. The last day for Year 12 classes will be on Monday 19 October.  The examination period begins on Wednesday 28 October. A reminder that students will be required to sit the End of Year examinations wearing full school uniform

Drivers Education

Following Keys Please, Year 10 students attended a three day course at the Metec Driver Training Centre. There they were instructed on how to handle a vehicle in a safe and correct manner. The course is designed to introduce young people to the correct method of driving and to ensure that the methods become regular practice to help reduce the number of crashes involving teenagers.  Congratulations to Amy Lucas  and Dylan Hamilton-Thomson who were both nominated for the Victorian Young Driver of the Year Award.  Good luck to both of you!
