MULTICULTURAL COMMITTEE NEWS
Vera Dudas
Multicultural Liaison Officer
The Multicultural Committee had its very productive second meeting on Monday 7th March. It was the final meeting for this Term.
During the first week of second term on Wednesday April 14th there will be Parent Teacher interviews, during which we will have a Centrelink Information Help Desk with Multicultural Liaison Officer Kaled. This will be a good opportunity for students and parents to use the service to get updated on any questions, queries and the latest information from Centrelink.
On behalf of The Multicultural Committee we wish all staff, students and parents safe and restful holidays.
Our next Multicultural Committee meeting is schedule for Monday 2nd May at 12.40pm.
FIJIAN FUNDRAISER
Mitchell Fraser
Student, Year 8
On the 20th February cyclone Winston hit Fijian villages with much devastation leaving many Fijian people homeless. My brothers and I will walk in a half marathon on Good Friday to raise money and stationery items to take over to Fiji after the school holidays.
It has become more important for us to raise the donations because there are children and families with houses that have no roofs.
You can find the donation tin at the General Office. We only ask for a small money donation.
STUDENT ABSENCE
Parents/Guardians are reminded to phone the Student Absence Line (5240 5899) and leave a message if their child is going to be absent from school.
STAFF CAR PARK
Parents/Guardians are reminded that they are not to use the staff car park for dropping off or picking up students. This is to ensure the safety of our students.
ARE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS UP-TO-DATE?
In case of an emergency it is important that the College has up-to-date details for parents/guardians. If your details have changed (phone number, address, emergency contacts etc) please contact the College on 5240 5800 so that we can update our records.
