Compass Pay and Compass Events

As has been mentioned on Compass news and in previous newsletters we have introduced Compass Pay to our list of modules accessible to parents through Compass. This enables parents to access payments and excursion approvals on their device. We are now starting to enable approvals and payments on Compass for events and therefore, we will start to eliminate the endless paperwork coming home to parents. Here are some details from Compass:

Geelong Koori Aspirations Day 2019

An event for all koori students in Geelong is to be held at Kardinia Park in the Deakin Cats Community Centre on Wednesday, 18 September. It is a day for fostering motivation and positivity as students consider their future aspirations and decision-making. The Year 12 students across Geelong will be celebrated as they complete their secondary school education. There will be guest speakers and workshops and the Koori Education Support Officers that work in schools will be in attendance.

Please look out for a Compass Event that can be accessed by parents and carers so that online permissions can be made. There will be no cost to students.

HAUNT!

The school production is next week. Have you bought your tickets? We are very excited to see and hear the students perform at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre on the Thursday and Friday, 12 and 13 September. Performances begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased from GPAC for $15.

Well done to all of the performers, musicians, set designers and the supportive staff who have spent countless hours rehearsing.
