Cyber Awareness Night for Year 7 Parents

Year 7 to 9 parents are invited to a Cyber Awareness night on Thursday June 4 at 7.30 p.m.  On this night a range of topics will be covered including:

·         Resources addressing cyber safety                   issues.

·         Strategies for dealing with common                   issues related to device use at home.

·         Instruction on iPad restrictions that                   parents can use on an iPad if required.

More information will come out in an email shortly and bookings will be essential. Venue will be advised after numbers are confirmed.

ICT Devices

Parents of students in Year 9 are reminded that a notebook computer is required for use in Year 10 in 2016. As these are required as part of the Flying Start transition program towards the end of this year, the ordering and purchase process will commence in September. Based on last year’s notebook the price was approximately $1270. Whilst supplying your own notebook will be an option, it is not recommended. The notebooks currently being used by Year 10 include full support, three year warranty, accidental damage cover, and a range of Windows based software that is compulsory for student use at school. More information will become available through email at a later date.
