PFA Report

Walkathon

Thank you to all students for your participation in our annual school Walkathon. We have had many children returning sponsorship money, and are in the running for our major prizes. Our top 3 prizes (TV and cameras), year level prizes and class party winner will be announced at assembly on Monday 16th November. We will also have one last raffle, with 5 vouchers still to be won.

The School Walkathon was supported by many businesses, and we would like to thank and acknowledge their generosity and donations.

Bendigo Bank – Lyndhurst, Crocs Play Centre – Lyndhurst, Wendy’s – Cranbourne, Lollipops – Narre Warren, Airheads – Lynbrook, Gravity Zone – Seaford, Casey Race, Myuna Farm and AMF Bowling.

Masters BBQ

The PFA will be running a sausage sizzle at Masters, Carrum Downs on Sunday from 11.00-2.00pm. Come down and say hi, and grab a sausage.

Windermere

Lyndhurst Primary will again be participating in the Windermere Merry Mission.

Merry Mission benefits children, young people and families in your local community who are connected with Windermere, generously providing them with great gifts and bountiful food hampers.

Many are experiencing extreme disadvantage, trauma and vulnerability. They’re in situations where buying food is stressful, let alone gifts. At a time of the year that for many means fun, family and celebration, Merry Mission is a way of bringing a bit of normality and festivity at what can be a difficult time of the year.

Acceptable non-perishable food items – tinned food, boxed and packed foods and seasonal items like tinned hams and yummy Christmas cake etc. It’s a good idea to include foods that make up a meal (e.g. packet pasta & a jar of sauce).

Non food items are welcome too! Feel free to include essential and non-essential personal care items like shampoos, soaps, band aids, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrushes, shaving cream…the list is endless! Small gifts to be given to children are also accepted.

Any items to be donated for the Windermere Merry Mission are to be sent to the front office.

We will be collecting items from Friday 20th November until Friday 4th December, and your support is appreciated.

Stuck on You Labels

The school has an endless amount of unnamed lost property each week. Stuck on You helps to avoid lost property by creating amazing labels and tags for kids of all ages.

They offer Iron on Clothing Labels that can be personalised, as well as many other labels. The school is able to earn rewards from Stuck on You; all you need to do is enter the code LYNDHURSTPSVIC when you order. Go to www.stuckonyou.com.au for more details.

The Good Guys Cranbourne Cash Program

Lyndhurst Primary School is a part of The Good Guys Cranbourne Cash Program. If you purchase an item at The Good Guys Cranbourne store, advise the salesperson that you would like ‘Cranbourne Cash’ to be allocated to Lyndhurst Primary School. $1 from every $25 spent goes back to the school. Mention this to friends and family, as the more people who allocate the ‘cash’ to the school when they make a purchase, the more funds we raise.

Coffee Barn Bistro & Bar Rewards Card

Keep your Coffee Barn Rewards card with you and present it whenever you purchase food/drinks at the local Coffee Barn at Marriott Waters. 5% of total purchases will be given back to the school. If anyone did not receive a Rewards Card, please see the office.

Second Hand Uniform Stall

The Second Hand Uniform Stall will be running regularly, on the 1st Tuesday of every month. The next stall will be held on Tuesday 1st December from 8.30-9.00am and in the afternoon from 3.00-4.00pm in the school gym.

We have extended the time in the afternoon until 4.00pm.

We will also be holding the stall in the gym on Step Up Day – Tuesday 8th December from 9.00-10.30am.

If anyone has any uniforms they would like to donate to the school, please hand them to the office. All clothes must be clean, without holes and able to be worn.
