Parenting Pointers

This week's parenting advice article is an episode of The Imperfects podcast. For those unfamiliar with The Imperfects, it is an engaging parenting podcast hosted by Hugh van Cuylenburg (The Resilience Project), comedian Ryan Shelton and James van Cuylenburg (child psycholiogist).

A few of our teachers have loved listening to this fascinating episode and wanted to share it with our parent community. Of particular interest was the segment about screentime issues. Next time you are traveling in the car, commuting or out for a walk, we highly encourage you to listen to this one.

"James covers so much in this 90 minutes that it’s almost impossible to sum up here.
Everything from the development of our kids today, screentime issues, the cost of ambition, the importance of self-compassion and James’s own experiences with bullying and how it motivated him to study psychology. Among MANY other topics.
This episode is not just about kids. It’s about the human experience and why we should all acknowledge and love our “wonky bricks” and make the most of our short time on this floating ball we call earth."
