Prep CM-Learning

In Prep CM, our class had an amazing week filled with exploration and growth. Here's a glimpse into our highlights:

 Changes Over Time: 

From Schools to Toys 

We delved into the history, comparing classrooms and toys from the past and now. Students explored how learning environments have changed, from blackboards to interactive whiteboards, and traditional toys to high-tech gadgets.

In a special highlight of the week, we were lucky enough to have Maddie's Grandma as a guest speaker, sharing stories about her own experiences in school when she was young.

  Exploring Math Strategies 

Students actively engaged in hands-on math activities, discovering different addition and subtraction strategies, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. One of our favourite activities we did this week was using Code.org to learn how to give and follow simple directions while exploring coding concepts, fostering logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

       Lunchtime Fun with Friends 

Lunch breaks were filled with joy as students bonded with their friends, fostering communication skills and a sense of belonging.
