Digital Technologies in Prep

Our amazing Prep students have been using digital technologies to enhance their literacy learning. Have a look at how they are using an Osmo to create their own story, further developing their speaking and listening skills, reading and writing skills, digital technology skills, and personal and social skills by working together....

Semester One Student Reports

On Monday 19th June, the students' Semester One Reports will be available for families to access online. This mid year report will give families information as to how your child has progressed against the Victorian Curriculum in Semester One. It will include a Victorian Curriculum score (dot) for each learning area, as well as indicators for work habits, and personalised teacher comments about your child's learning across the semester.

When teachers allocate a score, they use a range of assessment data, and collaboratively moderate and triangulate this data in quite a rigorous way to arrive at this score. Congratulations to all our students on their learning progress and effort across the semester. And thank you to our teachers for their passion and work in educating our young people, ensuring the students at Trinity continue to flourish in all learning areas.

Student Led Conversations

On Thursday 22nd June (and Wednesday 21st June for Year 5/6BOC) students will have the opportunity to share and celebrate their learning with families at our Student Led Conversations.  Students put a lot of effort into these presentations, so please mark these dates on your calendar. The process for the Student Led Conversations are as follows:

  • Your child will welcome you to their classroom
  • They will share their Seesaw presentation of learning with you
  • The class teacher will be present and will assist the students with this
  • This is an oppotunity for you to affirm your child and for you to ask questions about their learning
  • The Student Led Conversation will go for approximatey 10 minutes
  • Following the Student Led Conversation you will have the opportunity to chat with your child's teacher about your child's report

ParentTeacher Meetings

After the Student Led Conversations, there will be an opportunity for parents/guardians to discuss the Semester One Report with the class teacher. The time allocated for this conversation is 5 minutes. If you require more time please do not hesitate to see your child's teacher and other arrangements can be made.
