Our amazing Prep students have been using digital technologies to enhance their literacy learning. Have a look at how they are using an Osmo to create their own story, further developing their speaking and listening skills, reading and writing skills, digital technology skills, and personal and social skills by working together....
On Monday 19th June, the students' Semester One Reports will be available for families to access online. This mid year report will give families information as to how your child has progressed against the Victorian Curriculum in Semester One. It will include a Victorian Curriculum score (dot) for each learning area, as well as indicators for work habits, and personalised teacher comments about your child's learning across the semester.
When teachers allocate a score, they use a range of assessment data, and collaboratively moderate and triangulate this data in quite a rigorous way to arrive at this score. Congratulations to all our students on their learning progress and effort across the semester. And thank you to our teachers for their passion and work in educating our young people, ensuring the students at Trinity continue to flourish in all learning areas.
On Thursday 22nd June (and Wednesday 21st June for Year 5/6BOC) students will have the opportunity to share and celebrate their learning with families at our Student Led Conversations. Students put a lot of effort into these presentations, so please mark these dates on your calendar. The process for the Student Led Conversations are as follows:
After the Student Led Conversations, there will be an opportunity for parents/guardians to discuss the Semester One Report with the class teacher. The time allocated for this conversation is 5 minutes. If you require more time please do not hesitate to see your child's teacher and other arrangements can be made.
All appointments for the Student Led Conversations and Parent-Teacher Meetings can be made through the online portal. 15 minutes is allocated for each student in total. Please see the email sent earlier this week. If you need assistance with making a booking please see Julie or Ru at the office.
The Specialist teachers will also be available on Thursday 22nd on June in the office foyer if you would like to meet with them to discuss any aspect of your child's report or their learning in one of the specialist learning areas (ie Mandarin, Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Science)
All school leaders will also be avilable on the the 21/6 so you are welcome to come and chat with Nigel (Principal), Ru (Deputy/RE Leader), Helen (Learning Diversity Leader), Antonella (Wellbeing Leader) or myself as well.
