St. Augustine's School Prayer

Our Father in Heaven,

Look over and bless St. Augustine’s while we are working and playing.

Help us to respect and care for each other as you taught us to.

Give us the opportunity to do our best for you each day.

We look forward to being able to share our lives with our friends and families.

Keep us safe and give us the courage to be

people who want to know you more.                    Amen.

Prayer for Pilgrims

As our pilgrims prepare to journey to Rome, Assissi and World Youth Day in Lisbon, we pray for them to have a safe journey and spiritual experience, returning to us with a wealth of experiences to share with us.

God our Father, 

Be with our pilgrims on their journey of faith. 

Give us them grace and courage to step forward in faith and hope on the road ahead. 

Lord Jesus, Open their eyes to see your face in all those we encounter. 

Open their ears to hear your voice in those who are often ignored.

God bless the path on which they go.

God bless the earth beneath their feet.

God bless their destination.

God be a smooth way before them,

A guiding star above them,

A keen eye behind them,

This day, this night, and forever.

God be with them whatever they pass.

Jesus be with them whatever they climb.

Spirit be with them wherever they stay.

God be with them at each stop and each sea,

At each lying down and each rising up,

In the trough of the waves,

on the crest of the billowseach step of the journey they take.

Amen.
