There has been a lot of chat recently about RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), which can be dangerous for younger children. This virus is one of the most frequent causes of the common cold, but can also cause serious infection in the lungs and lead to pneumonia and severe respiratory infections.
The rapid onset of wintry weather in recent weeks means there are a number of nasty flus and colds around, not to mention the high prevalence of Covid still in the community. Please be aware of the risks and if your child is showing any symptoms, please keep them home to stop the spread of infection.
A reminder and recommendation for flu shots if your family hasn't already had them - this year's flu is hitting children particularly hard.
