Intermediate Boys Basketball

On Monday the 17th of July, Horsham College took three Intermediate boy’s teams to the Ararat basketball stadium to compete in the Black Ranges Basketball competition.

All teams played great basketball, displayed great behaviours, sportsmanship and had a lot of fun during the day.

HC 2 & HC 3 had a mixed bag of results in their matches winning a few and having some very close losses to the other schools.

HC 1 team was able to win all their Pool A matches and they qualified to play in the Final against St Brigid’s College. The game was very enjoyable to watch and played with great sportsmanship from both teams with the HC 1 team of Will D, Levi M, Zane M, Toby L, Drew H, Ethan W & Jack H winning 38 to 20.

The team will now head to Ballarat to compete in the Great Western Region competition on the Thursday 3rd of August with our Intermediate Girls Team.

Well done everyone and thanks to Mr Bruce, Josh and Jason for looking after and coaching the teams and a special thank you to Mitch M who was injured but picked up the whistle and refereed many matches for not only us but other schools, well done and thanks Mitch.
