Northwest Cross Country 

The North West Cross Country trials were held in Coolah on Thursday last week. Seven students represent THS with the following results.

Laura Aquilini 13 years. 7th

Cadence Arnold 13 years. 8th

Philippa Lyons 13 years. 12th

Declan Nichol 14 years 33rd

Ebony Knox 16 years 5th

Kira Arnold 17 years 5th

Heidi Aquilini 18 years 1st

As a result of their performances, Ebony, Kira and Heidi have been selected to represent Northwest at the All-Schools Cross Country in Sydney at the start of term 3. Congratulations to everyone on a great effort.

Squash

On Wednesday 21 June our squash representatives played in the squash team trials at the Tenterfield Gold Club. The girls all won their respective games & will play the Hunter Region at the next meet. The boys weren't competing just getting in some practice & supporting the girls team. Well done everyone!

Small School Rugby League Cup

3 teams travelled to Inverell for the Small School Rugby League Cup. This year Girls League Tag was added to the competition. The three teams were under 14’s boys Rugby League and under 14’s & 16’s Girls league Tag. Unfortunately our boys were unsuccessful in making it through to the next round. The Girls teams were only an invitational competition this year with no progression to another round. Our under 14 girls won all their games. The under 16 girls won 2 games and drew 1. 

A fantastic effort to all players that attended on the day. Great skill and sportsmanship was shown. Players of the carnival were:
