Sharing Student Learning.

We are very proud of all the wonderful learning that has been evident in our school during the first semester. Throughout the year, we continue to provide a comprehensive snapshot of your child's learning through a variety of platforms, including a formal report, learning conversations and Seesaw learning pieces. Through these platforms, we celebrate and reflect on the learning strengths and areas of needs for your child. This will be done through the following modes of reporting.

  1. Formal report - These will be sent home on Tuesday, 20th June. This will include an overview of your child’s academic achievement in the different curriculum areas, as well as feedback about their social, emotional and critical thinking skills.
  2. Learning conferences - To better cater to all of our families, you will be given the option to attend these either face to face or online. It is an opportunity for teachers and parents to have a short 20 minute conversation about your child’s academic progress, focus areas for the future and any questions or observations parents may wish to discuss. Our Learning Conferences will be held on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st of June.
  3. Data Slideshows - During each student's conference, teachers will share a data slideshow outlining their growth, areas of strength and learning goals for semester two. These slideshows will include data and evidence in mathematics, reading, writing and other areas of the curriculum.
  4. Seesaw - Teachers share learning via seesaw to demonstrate each child’s learning. These posts include information on the curriculum they are learning along with strengths and areas of need across a variety of curriculum areas.

If you have any questions about your child's learning, please contact your child's teacher. Details about how to book times for your child’s conference will be shared via Operoo this week.
