Old Scholars - Decades Reunion

1992, 2002 and 2012 Reunion Event!

On the first Friday of Term 2, the Old Scholars Association held their very first Decades Reunion aimed at celebrating those who graduated 10, 20 and 30 years ago as of 2022!

The night was a huge success! We had Old Scholars attend from all three decades, current staff and returning teachers and staff. It was such a lovely occasion to hear entertaining stories shared and watch connections reform.

The evening started at our South Plympton Campus for a welcome from Andrew Linke and a Twilight Tour of the campus, run by Neil Blenkinsop, as it has been updated greatly in the last 10 years. We then moved to The Highway Hotel for drinks, canapes and activities including a Kahoot quiz and a raffle.

The Kahoot quiz was a big hit! Everyone had the opportunity to show off their knowledge of the school and learn something new. Congratulations to Old Scholar Annie Maschmedt (Class of 2012) who won the quiz and the accompanying prize package.

Thank you to attendees on the night for providing their feedback on our first reunion event. All who provided feedback were entered into a raffle - congratulations to Old Scholar Simon Dowd (Class of 2012) for winning the big gift basket!

Old Scholars and staff alike were very happy with the event; take a look at some of the things they’ve said!

“The school was so generous to provide everything for us, it was a fantastic night!” - Shannon Racz (Class of 2012)

“I loved getting to see the school and how much it’s changed over the years, it’s looking so good!” - Roman Golabek (Returning Teacher)

“The Kahoot was great to learn some of the history of the school and it was SO funny!”

“It was a great event to reminisce on the past with old friends about our time at school” - Matthew Shilling (Class of 2010 and current staff member)

We are currently in the process of planning another Decades Reunion for Classes of 1993, 2003 and 2013 - keep an eye out for more information to come.

Thank you to all who came, we are very grateful to have met you and shared your amazing stories from your time at Emmaus.
