Sport and P.E.

In the Classroom

In the classroom, F-2 students have continued to prepare for the upcoming Junior School Athletics Afternoon. The focus of this learning has shifted from running into throwing, with students practising and testing how far they can throw the foam javelins. Following the Senior School Athletics Carnival last week, our 3-6 students have begun a new unit on net and wall sports. This unit will cover a number of weeks and will include learning about sports such as downball, tennis, badminton and volleyball.

Sports Events

Week 3 of Term 2 was a very busy week for Year 3-6 students at BPPS! First, on Wednesday 10th May, we had the Senior School Athletics Carnival. Despite some wet and woolly weather, there were some fantastic athletic performances on display, as students spent the day running, jumping and throwing. Congratulations to all students for their incredible efforts, winning points for their houses and having fun in the process.

Then, on Friday 12th May, over 60 BPPS students travelled to Macleay Park to compete in the District Cross Country Carnival. Once again, each student who attended this event should be so proud of their efforts and for representing themselves and our school with such great positivity and sportsmanship. A special congratulations to the students below for finishing in the top 15 of their events, qualifying for the Division Carnival by doing so. In brackets is the student's finishing position in their race.
