Year 11 Biology

Biology Camp in Dwellingup

On May 11 and 12 the Year 11 Biology students attended their overnight camp in Dwellingup. Despite the near freezing temperatures before sunrise, the students had a great time participating in the Department of Biodiversity and Conservation’s  Western Shield endangered animal surveying programme. We were lucky enough to trap, weigh and measure two Mardo and two Chudditch.

All data collected will go towards government conservations efforts. The boys also completed flora quadrat and transect surveys through the Jarrah woodland around Dwellingup. A big thanks to Mr Tuohy and Mr Mallon for attending, and to Stephen from DPAW who has run the camp for us for many years.
