VET Pathways & Workplace Learning

Year 10 MyPath

Over the coming weeks the Year 10 students will have the opportunity to explore a range of opportunities available to them in Year 11 & 12. I would encourage all students to explore theMyPath website and spend time researching the information that has been provided.

Not only do the Year 10 students have the chance to enrol in courses provided by RTO's, the current Year 11 students have one year courses available to them. I will be meeting with the students over the coming weeks to discuss their options. Please encourage your son to speak to me about any questions they might have.

Workplace Learning - Year 11 & 12 Workplace Learning

Monday 22 May until Thursday 1 June 2023

All forms should be returned by now.  The students have spent time understanding the purpose of WPL, the expectations of them in the workplace and what will be occurring in Semester Two.

A few things to note:

If your child is unwell please advise the WPL supervisor and myself as soon as possible.  Please provide a medical certificate to be recorded against the time that is absent.

Your son will be required to complete a SCSA 'Logbook' which will need to be taken in every day and signed off by the supervisor.

If you have any further questions please check your email for the Workplace Learning Parent Document or feel free to contact me.

Industry & Enterprise - Workplace Learning

During Week 8 (12th -16th June) the Industry and Enterprise students will be completing their second work placement in a variety of industries. After thoroughly enjoying their first placement they are looking forward to trying different occupations.

Our SEQTA portal 'Careers and Workplace Learning News (mazenodcareerswpl.blogspot.com)' is updated regularly with events, current casual jobs, apprenticeships, courses and support for students at Mazenod. Parents/guardians & students are encouraged to check this portal weekly as we update regularly.
